"This is ink and alcohol marker on 14"x8.5" mixed media card stock, titled 'I Can't Remember You' . The concept is the idea of loosing connection with your childhood/past self. With this severed connection, many memories are lost, including ones where you were most happy. The shadowed child's face and dissipating lines illustrate the loss of that person, leaving only the older current version. Ginkgo leaves turn the most beautiful color in early fall, I grew up surrounded by ginkgo leaves, and so that ties very closely to my childhood identity."
